Raleigh, N.C. —
Almost every day the White House issues an announcement or a press release detailing millions of dollars being spent to create new job opportunities. But North Carolina officials say many small businesses may be missing out on those recovery contracts.
Cathy Akroyd with the N.C. Office of Economic Recovery and Investment says a series of statewide workshops will be held in the coming weeks to teach small and minority-owned businesses how to properly apply for and take part in these recovery programs.
Workshops will be held in Charlotte, Hickory, Goldsboro, Greensboro, Raleigh, Rocky Mount, Salisbury, Williamston and Wilmington.
The first workshop will be held in Williamston on July 15th. Further information is available at www.ncrecovery.gov.
