Metering technology firm Sensus acquires Idaho company

Raleigh, N.C. —
Sensus, a developer and provider of metering technology for utility firms, has acquired Idaho-based Telemetric Corporation.
Telemetric focuses on wireless automation solutions for utilities firms.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The deal expands Sensus; ability to offer end-to-end “smart grid” metering solutions.
"Integration of Telemetric's assets and engineering capability into Sensus brings a key solution set that electric utilities want from their smart grid applications, distribution automation and asset management solutions," said Sensus Chief Executive Officer Peter Mainz.
