Simtrol names new chief executive officer

NORCROSS, Ga. —
Simtrol (OTCBB: SMRL), a developer of software for device management, has hired management veteran Oliver Cooper III as its chief executive officer.
The company announced Cooper’s hiring before the markets opened on Monday.
Before joining Simtrol, Cooper was chief operating officer at Manhattan Associates. He also was chief operating officer at Neovest before that firm was acquired by JP Morgan. He also was CEO of MARC Global Holdings. He has more than 25 years as a manager.
A graduate of Furman University, he earned an MBA at Emory University’s Goizueta School of Businesses.
