Force Protection CEO to Step Down

LADSON, S.C. —
Gordon McGilton, chief executive officer of Force Protection, will retire from that position on Jan. 31.
Michael Moody, the firm’s president, was named interim CEO as well as chairman of the board.
Force Protection (Nasdaq: FRPT) builds high-tech armored vehicles for use by armed forces against explosive devices such as land mines. It recently launched construction of a manufacturing facility in North Carolina’s Person County. The firm’s main plant is near Charleston, S.C.
McGilton has led Force Protection since 2005.
