CEO Conversation Includes Panel To Discuss Trends in Technology, Financing

A panel discussion at "CEO Conversation" next week will discuss trends in technology and opportunities for financing.

CEO Conversation is put on by the North Carolina Technology Association. The event is set for April 20 at the Washington Duke Inn in Durham.

"The venture market is reinvigorated with more private equity available than ever before," said William Glynn, the panel's moderator who is chairman of Collective IQ. "This special session will cover the broad topic of technology - including content, communications, commerce, consumer adoption and electronics - and how these key areas impact the venture capital landscape and funding decisions."

Other panelists include Rob Preston, editor and chief of Information Week; Clark Keough, managing director at Oris; Nagraj Kashyap, director at QUALCOMM; and Mark Barry, managing director for Microsoft Corporation, Strategic and Emerging Business Development. Other guest speakers include Mike Zafirovski, the new chief executive officer of Nortel; William Johnson, president and chief operating officer of Progress Energy; Frank Drendel, chairman and CEO of CommScope; Tom Skelton, CEO of Misys Healthcare Systems; and Dan Warmenhoven, CEO of Network Appliance.
