Premium Lock SciQuest Joins e-Procurement Initiative, Also Signs Penn State

Participating institutions include University of Notre Dame, University of Pennsylvania, University of New Mexico, University of Nevada, Reno, Arizona State University, University of Michigan, McGill University, Indiana University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and the University of Arizona.

"We are committed to the success of our higher education customers," said Stephen Wiehe, president and CEO at SciQuest. "This initiative gives us another opportunity to help these universities gain a better understanding of their procurement initiatives in order to make informed, strategic decisions to influence spend on their campus."

Future findings will be presented in a series of outcome reports and case studies that will be distributed throughout 2004 and 2005.

SciQuest made the announcement at Next Level, its forum for the higher education purchasing community. The RTP-based company also announced at the Phoenix event that Pennsylvania State University, has signed a multi-year agreement for its HigherMarkets e-procurement solution to enhance existing Oracle and legacy solutions.
