Two entrepreneurs will be Streak-ing at the Council for Entrepreneurial Development’s headquarters Thursday – but fully clothed.
The CED is re-launching its “Streak” program for startups with a panel reviewing presentations from Axial Project and 3DMedia Corporation. Companies selected to participate in Streak will make pitches for investors to the panel and receive critiques.
The return of Streak is part of CED President Joan Siefert Rose’s efforts to put more emphasis on programs targeted specifically at startups and entrepreneurs.
Joanne Rohde, a former top executive at Red Hat, will talk about her Axial Project venture. Axial will target opportunities in the health records market.
Tassos Markas, chief executive officer at 3D Media, will talk about his 3D image capture and display technology.
Panels for Streak events will include a mix of venture capitalists, potential funders, attorneys, financial advisors and entrepreneurs.

• David Jones of Southern Capitol Ventures
• Patrick Johnson of Brooks Pierce McLendon Humphrey & Leonard LLP
• Mike Lough of Blue Stripe Software
• Ray MacMahon of Internet Securities
The panelists will provide feedback on strategy, business advice, funding options and additional relevant contacts.
Veteran entrepreneur Bob Pickens, who recently joined the CED management team, oversees the Streak effort.
Future Streak programs are planned on the second Thursday of each month.
A “showcase” event for presenting companies is planned for January.
