Tech Trek to India: On to Bangalore, ‘The Silicon Valley of India’

BANGALORE, India - We’ve now met with most of the major venture funds in India and have been plugged into the business community at very high levels in Mumbai and Bangalore.

The ecosystem for Indian technology companies continues to grow and includes some of the same types of players as in the States — venture firms, angels, PR firms, executive searchers, accountants, lawyers, consultants, etc.

One of those Indian ‘players’ is Emploi Globale, an executive search firm for technology companies. Shalini Sethi is the Chair person and Managing Director. I think you’ll enjoy her insights on India entrepreneurial activity and her firm’s role in the Indian technology ecosystem.

I was also fortunate to meet with Prashanth Prakash, Partner with Accel India. Prakash is one of the few angel investors and active early stage venture funds in India. He provides some interesting insights on investment opportunities in this country in this video

Just arrived in Delhi tonight to speak at a major technology law conference. India is hopping !
