CED opens application process for its annual venture conference

Companies from across the southeast are eligible to apply for the opportunity to present at the Council for Entrepreneurial Development’s venture capital conference.

The is set for April 22-23 next year in Pinehurst.

The first deadline to apply is Dec. 19. The final deadline is Jan. 30. Early application is encouraged due to the competitive nature of the screening process.

“Our goal at Venture 2009 is to showcase the very best in investment opportunities from across North Carolina and the Southeast,” said Steve Nelson, general partner with Wakefield Group who is chair of CED’s selection committee. “We welcome any and all innovative and emerging growth companies to apply to present at this exceptional event.”

Companies that have presented at the CED event over the past four years have raised more than $732 million in funding, according to the CED.
