Atlanta-based Multicast names CFO who had been CEO of firm acquired by ChannelAdvisor
Veteran e-commerce executive Doug Hadaway is the new chief financial officer and vice president of operations at Multicast, a startup focused on platform technology to deliver video over the Internet.
Before joining Multicast, Hadaway was chief executive officer and CFO of Marketworks, a software as a service firm focused on e-commerce. Marketworks was acquired by North Carolina-based ChannelAdvisor in September 2007.
Hadaway has 23 years of experience in the high-tech sector. He served as CFO at Synchrologic, a wireless software firm, before joining Marketworks.
"Multicast has established itself as a leader in providing solutions that enable companies, large and small, to manage and deliver video online," said Hadaway in a statement. "The company enjoys a tremendous amount of momentum today and I believe the opportunity to build upon that success in new markets and geographies is both substantial and exciting."
Multicast currently has nearly 1,000 customers and delivers some 3,500 live Internet broadcasts per month. Privately held, the company was founded in 2000.
