Piedmont Triad Entrepreneurial Network Adds 3 to Board

Venture capitalist David Jones and entrepreneurs Robert Egleston and Paul Clayson are the newest members of the board for the Piedmont Triad Entrepreneurial Network.

Jones is a principal with Southern Capitol Ventures in Raleigh.

Clayson is founder, chairman and chief executive officer of nCOAT, a Triad-based nanotechnology company.

Egleston is president and CEO of DataMax in Winston-Salem.

Each will serve three-year terms.

PTEN works with startups across the Triad to help in business development and in securing of funding.

“We are extremely honored to have such high-caliber, accomplished professionals join our Board,” Jon Obermeyer, PTEN’s CEO, said in a statement. “Their leadership qualities and breadth of experience in diverse areas will broaden the scope of our membership and provide further opportunity for innovative idea exchange.

"Most importantly, these individuals allow us to tap into sophisticated and far-reaching contact networks in terms of venture capital, technology development and large corporate entities that are prospective customers and acquirers of the new ventures we are fostering here in the region," he added.
