My heart goes out to the Nortel employees. It is so hard not knowing how long one will be employed and being uncertain about having retirement and health benefits. Many of these employees have worked at Nortel for more than twenty years and are in their late fifties and early sixties. A majority of these employees are not college educated. It is difficult for a sixty year old to compete in the job market with all the young college graduates in today's economy. My prayers are with them.
How many from RTP will have a job after today ? Will they have to relocate if they are offered a job?
