Janet Ang, the executive who ran the global desktop business group for Lenovo, has left the firm, according to The Australian newspaper.

Ang is rejoining IBM, where she had worked for more than 20 years before IBM sold its personal computing business to Lenovo four years ago. A Lenovo spokesperson confirmed Ang’s departure to the newspaper.

"Janet Ang is no longer at Lenovo, and we understand that she has taken a position at IBM," the Lenovo spokesperson said.

Ang’s departure from the world’s No. 4 PC-maker is the second by a former top official who also had worked at IBM. Deepak Advani quit Lenovo after losing his role as chief marketing officer in a management reshuffling on Feb. 5. As part of that shakeup, Chief Executive Officer William Amelio also left.

Yang Yuanqing, Lenovo’s chairman, replaced Amelio as CEO.
