Hatteras Networks CEO wins a ‘Stevie’ award
Kevin Sheehan, chief executive officer at Hatteras Networks, received the “Stevie” award as best executive in telecommunications on Thursday.
The Stevies were handed out at the sixth annual American Business Awards in New York.
Sheehan was recognized for his efforts at Hatteras, which is a global provider of gear that vastly increases the speed and utilization of existing network infrastructure. Hatteras focuses on Ethernet-related technology.
Hatteras, which is venture backed, raised some $21 million in 2006. it has customers in five continents.
“I’m thrilled to have been chosen to win this award, especially considering the caliber of the other professionals that were recognized by the Stevies,” Sheehan said in a statement. “This award belongs to the entire Hatteras Networks team, which has been and continues to be the catalyst for the incredible success of our company as well as for the proliferation of Mid-Band Ethernet across the globe.”
The awards program drew more than 2,600 entries.
