Bone cancer foundation moves headquarters to Durham

DURHAM, N.C. – The Chordoma Foundation, which focuses on development of treatments for bone cancer, has relocated its headquarters to the American Tobacco Campus from Greensboro.
The move puts the group closer to partners in research in the Triangle as well as Duke University and UNC-Chapel Hill.
The non-profit group is based in the Diamond View I building at the campus.
The foundation dates to 2006 when it was co-launched by Josh Sommer, who was a college freshman at the time and was diagnosed with Chordoma.
“The move to a professional office space near groundbreaking researchers marks a new chapter in the Foundation’s development,” said Sommer in a statement. “We are grateful to Capitol Broadcasting Company and Synergy Commercial Advisors as well as thousands of donors, volunteers and collaborators for their support of the Foundation’s mission.”
The American Tobacco Campus is owned by Capitol Broadcasting Company, which is the parent firm of LTW.
