Inspire Pharmaceuticals names chief technical officer

DURHAM, N.C. – Robert Savel II, a veteran manufacturing and life sciences executive, is joining Inspire Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: ISPH) as its chief technical officer and senior vice president.
Savel joins Inspire as of Sept. 20. He will oversee Inspire’s manufacturing and technical operations.
Savel, 42, most recently was president of Savel Enterprises. He was senior vice president at PDL Biopharma from 2007 to 2008. He worked at Johnson & Johnson in a variety of roles from 1999 to 2007.
