RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – E-mail marketing firm iContact is moving into the mobile application market, launching an “app” designed for use with smartphones operating with the Android operating system.
iContact is working with mobile platform technology firm HandStorm. Financial terms were not disclosed.
According to iContact, the application is the first for e-mail marketing in the Google Android mobile phone space.
“iContact customers are tech savvy, resourceful and always on the go,” said iContact Chief Executive Officer Ryan Allis. “This app will help our customers manage their professional email marketing on the go.”
iContact launched a similar app for iPhones in May.
Features include the ability to search, create or add new contacts; send draft e-mail messages as well as track and share e-mail results. Read more about the app here.
iContact has more than 64,000 customers.
