CARY, N.C. – Edline and SchoolDude announced on Tuesday an alliance to better serve public schools, including their tens of thousands of education institution clients.
Two of the nation's largest software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies for the education industry plan to provide the learning community with an integrated product that streamlines the information flow between teachers, faculty, staff, parents, and the mission-critical support services departments need to keep school districts operating efficiently and effectively.
Edline focuses on learning community management, online classroom management, and website and portal solutions for K-12 – specializing in communication between students, parents, teachers and faculty.
SchoolDude provides on-demand services to more than 4,500 education institution clients and works to improve enterprise workflow and business process, specializing in building automation, facility scheduling, and facility, technology, energy and transportation management.
A spokesperson at SchoolDude said facility and asset management are traditionally the "forgotten" element in an education system adding that if districts are serious about providing a "learning climate", then students, teachers and parents need the ability to interact with the facility management system on the same or similar basis as curriculum, grades, and more.
Added Kent Hudson, CEO and Co-Founder of SchoolDude, "We are excited to partner with Edline, especially as portals and learning community platforms are becoming a strong part of the K-12 infrastructure.”
Edline and SchoolDude plan to announce additional business process improvements in the future.
