• Revenues grow 30% in 2009 for Salix
RALEIGH, N.C. – Revenues at Salix Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: SLXP) increased 16 percent in the fourth quarter of last year to $70.2 million and for the year by 30 percent to $232.9 million for the year, the company reported this week.

• PokerTek reports decline in revenue, losses
MATTHEWS, N.C. – PokerTek (Nasdaq: PTEK), a provider of automated poker tables and related services, reported this week a decline in fourth-quarter revenue to $1.5 million from $3.1 million a year ago.
The company also reduced operating expenses to $1.6 million from $3.3 million for the same quarter in 2008.
