Eight tech-related firms in region crack ‘Training Top 125’ list

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Life sciences services firm Quintiles vaulted 33 spots in the 2010 “training Top 125” list from Training magazine.
Quintiles ranks 47th, compared to 80th last year.
Cisco, which operates a 4,000 employee campus in RTP, ranks seventh on the list. It wasn’t ranked in 2009.
EMC, which has two major operations in the Triangle, placed 16th, down from fourth a year ago.

Other companies on the list from the region with 2009 rank in parenthesis include:

• Bowe Belle + Howell, 91 (55)
PricewaterhouseCoopers ranked first, just as in 2009.

Selection is based on a number of statistics including training hours per employee, goals, evaluation measurement and workplace surveys.
