RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – After working with RTI International as a consultant for six months, Galen Hatfield is joining RTI as its vice president for strategic initiatives in engineering and technology.
Hatfield is a veteran product development executive, having worked with medical products, emissions control, clean energy and in other fields.
According to RTI, Hatfield will work on new strategic initiatives as well as business opportunities and strategic planning.
"[Hatfield’s] technical background and knowledge of marketing and the commercial sector will allow us to identify new outlets for our capabilities in energy, infrastructure, and materials, and will contribute significantly to our growth,” said David Myers, vice president of RTI’s Engineering and Technology unit.
Before joining RTI as a consultant, Hatfield was vice president of innovation and development at a Dow Chemical joint venture. He has been involved in six issued or pending patents.
