U.K.-based clinical research firm picks Durham for U.S. HQ

DURHAM, N.C. – Cmed, a clinical research firm located in the United Kingdom has picked Durham for its U.S. headquarters and has leased enough space to accommodate up to 90 workers, according to The Triangle Business Journal.
Local Tech Wire reported on Nov. 16 that Cmed was opening a Durham office.
The company already his hiring, the firm’s CEO told the Journal.
“We are very excited about establishing a second U.S. base, and our new offices in Durham, close to Research Triangle Park (RTP), are the perfect location for Cmed,” CEO David Connelly said in the November announcement.
"RTP continues to be a model for innovation, education, and economic development, and our new offices will allow us to draw on the tremendously skilled work force in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area and to get close to our customers to provide even better service," he added.
The company's CRO work employs its Timaeus technology, which it calls "the world's most sophisticated and complete electronic data capture and management system."
