DURHAM, N.C. – David Brooks II, a banking industry veteran, is now the chief financial officer at Square 1 Bank.
Square 1 focuses primarily on servicing venture capital firms and venture capital-backed companies as well as entrepreneurs.
Brooks has worked in banking for 28 years with previous experience as CFO and in mergers and acquisitions. He is a native of North Carolina.
“With his background and can-do attitude, he’ll make an immediate contribution to our team, and we look forward to continuing the Bank’s growth trends with David’s oversight of our finances,” said Square 1 Chief Executive Officer Richard Casey.
Brooks earned undergraduate and graduate degrees at Appalachian State.
