Shaw University receives $4.1M NIH grant for minority health research infrastructure project

RALEIGH, N.C. – Shaw University will use a $4.1 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to implement a research infrastructure project focused on developing faculty and training students in biomedical and behavioral research.
The grant is for five years.
Shaw will launch its National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NCMHD) Research in Minority Institutions Project.
Shaw also plans to develop a Center for Geographic Information Systems and add to its Health Services Resource Library.
The funding is through the NIH NCMHD program.
