GameStop midnight event set for 'Modern Warfare' debut

GRAPEVINE, Texas — In the gamers' version of a Harry Potter book debut, GameStop said it have 4,250 stores open at midnight Monday for the release of the new video game "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2."
The retailer is planning launch parties that it said will begin at 9 p.m., when gamers will have an opportunity to play the highly anticipated game prior to launch as well as to enter “going camo” face painting contests and Call of Duty trivia contests.
