Lenovo’s chairman looks to Buffet, Hong Kong billionaire and Swedish conglomerate for strategy

MORRISVILLE, N.C. – Liu Chuanzhi, chairman of Lenovo and its parent firm Legend Holdings, looks to very successful individuals and enterprises in plotting future growth.
“We have studied the ways of Investor AB, we have studied the ways of Warren Buffett and we have studied the ways of Li Ka-shing,” Liu said in a briefing in Hong Kong, according to Bloomberg news. “Our way is a little similar to Li Ka-shing.”
Liu, who was recently named chairman of Legend, is planning aggressive growth for conglomerate that owns Lenovo, the world’s No. 4 PC maker which is based in Morrisville.
Buffett is one of the world’s richest men and most successful entrepreneurs. Investor AB is the Swedish parent of Ericsson. Li is the richest man in Hong Kong.
