Research Triangle Park, N.C. — Chelsea Therapeutics' Northera passed a hurdle last month when an independent advisory panel to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration voted 7-4 to recommend FDA approval. The recommendation is not binding but it is considered when the FDA deliberates whether to approve a new drug.
