LabCorp formally launches $106M buyout of bioscience firm

BURLINGTON, N.C. —
LabCorp (NYSE: LH) began its takeover of Monogram Biosciences (Nasdaq: MGRM) with a formal offer of $4.55 per share on Wednesday.
The deal is expected to cost LabCorp $106 million.
The companies agreed to acquisition terms last week.
Monogram focuses on treatments and testing for infectious diseases, including HIV, cancer and other ailments.
