LabCorp’s CEO is new chairman of board

BURLINGTON, N.C. —
David King, chief executive officer at Laboratory Corporation of America, is adding chairman of the board to his list of responsibilities.
LabCorp (NYSE: LH) is one of the world’s largest providers of laboratory services, genetic testing and diagnostic services for healthcare providers and life science with more than $4.5 billion in revenues last year.
King has been CEO since January 2007. He joined the company in 2001 as general counsel and chief compliance officer and has advanced through the executive ranks with stints in strategic planning, corporate development and chief operating officer roles.
Thomas Mac Mahon, the chairman since 1996, will remain a board member.
