Former Eli Lilly exec to lead Quintiles subsidiary Innovex
Richard Pilnik, a former executive with Eli Lilly, is the new president of Quintiles subsidiary Innovex.
Innovex works with life science clines on drug development and commercialization. The group has 7,500 employees spread across 17 locations.
Pilnik served as group vice president and chief marketing officer at Lilly’s headquarters in Indianapolis, Ind. He has more than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. A graduate of Duke University with a bachelor of arts degree, Pilnik earned a masters at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Business.
“With Rich’s experience in addressing complex business opportunities and challenges across many countries, together with the experience and expertise we already have, Innovex is poised to expand its visibility and leadership in the commercial arena,” said Quintiles Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dennis Gillings.
Quintiles is the world’s largest contract research organization, providing a variety of clinical trials and related services to life science companies around the world.
