Healthcare technology firm Allscripts will relocate from North Raleigh to a 12-story office tower in the Park District at North Hills adjacent to I-440 and near Midtown Park when it is completed in about two years, according to Kane Reality Corp.

Allscripts approximately 1,000 Triangle employees will move to the new location set to open in the spring of 2017.

The company has signed a lease with Kane Realty to occupy 250,000 square feet of the 330,000-square-foot Midtown Plaza tower.

“We will relocate all of the Raleigh operations into one modern and energy-efficient building in Midtown, which many of us know as North Hills. Midtown Raleigh is one of the most desirable locations to work in the area,” said David Campbell, senior vice president, human resources at Allscripts, in a statement.

“We believe this location decision is an investment in the quality of life for our employees and will help enable us to recruit and retain the best talent anywhere,” he added.

Allscripts, which develops electronic medical records, currently leases about 305,000 square feet of office space at Highwoods Properties Forum office park.
