Venture Atlanta put on quite a show for entrepreneurs, investors – and a crowd of lawyers on Tuesday in Georgia, and the report filed by Jim Roberts, executive director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at UNC Wilmington, saw some buzz from the VC showcase here locally. Twitter also was still active on Jim Goodnight’s announcement of “Building Q” made yesterday in Cary as well as the #ComeTechOut job fair hosted by NCTA in Raleigh. Finally, the biggest trending topic today in the Triangle (with the exception of #Twitterflight) was more about academics instead of technology with results of a probe at UNC that revealed the scope of academic fraud that reportedly involved more 3,100 students (half of them athletes).
